How Long Will It Take
America Is over 2600 miles wide and over 3000 miles traveling across on roads. My goal is to walk 15 miles a day which will be about 5-6 hours of walking a day, I'll start walking at 7:00 am to 12:00 pm giving me the rest of the day to rest and work on my blog giving the latest updates. Some days I will probably walk 20 or more miles depending how I feel that day. If I walk 15 miles a day and the route I am taking is around 3000 miles, it would take me 200 hundred days to walk. There will be days where I might hang out with people I meet. My goal is to walk it within 7-9 months. I’m hoping to meet people, hang out, and share stories.

I will be carrying the backpack and pushing the stroller as you see in the picture. The light Stuff such as clothes will be in the backpack and the Heavy stuff will be pushed in the stroller to keep my back from wearing out. As I walk I will be Adjusting what I carry for Example, on the east side of America, I will not be carrying as much water as I would carry on the west side going through the desert. My Clothes and gear will be constantly Switched out as I cross America.
Where Are You Going To Sleep
There will be different situations throughout the trip. My usual routine is going to be just walking my miles for the day and finding a safe spot to set up camp for the night. The next morning, I will continue my walk. Another method would be backyard camping, I would explain what I am doing and see if I can set my tent up in the backyard and leave first thing in the morning. This will sometimes Provide a bed, hot shower, and a warm meal for the night. Couch-surfing is a really popular method of getting a place to stay also. There will be some night I might not have anywhere to set up and I have to wait till night to set up behind a fence and leave before anyone wakes up (Good Way To Get In Trouble). When a bad storm comes I will buy a place for the night.
How Much Will The Trip Cost
I am giving myself around $20 to make sure I have enough for food and daily necessities which will add up to $140 dollars a week and averaging $620 dollars a month, if I can Go on $10 a day then I will. On a smart budget, other people who have walked across America have done it with $10 a day. I will be packing cheap, light food like bread, peanut butter, fruit, dried fruits, can food, and anything you can think of... There will also be the gear I have to buy, I already bought the main gear such as; laptop, tent, camera, solar chargers, water containers, cord chargers, and a stroller to push stuff in, which adds up to around $1,500 The only stuff left to buy is the minor stuff such as flash lights, matches, shampoo, and so on which will add up to around $200-$300… I will be taking what clothes I have at the house along with some other stuff to save money. I will need around $400 for when I need new shoes or when a tire blows out on my stroller. The trip Adds up to around $7000 and I will have put around $4,500-$5,000 down on the trip. I will be counting on the generosity of people donations to finish my walk.
