Hey everyone, Jason again. Just a reminder that Josh does not have his laptop, so I'll be making the posts for a bit.
Josh has made it to Tennessee! He has spent the last week pushing himself and has really enjoyed his walk over the mountains. This week we crossed the tallest mountain he'll meet until the Rockies. He said it was much easier backpacking through the mountains than with the wagon.
At this point, since leaving Myrtle Beach SC, Josh has already walked over 400 miles. In addition, he's raised $670 for Operation Underground Railroad! I think as a congratulations, and to show support, we should all donate $20 to his O.U.R fund!

So as Josh was just entering the mountains, back in Georgia, he had stopped at a visitor information center. While there he was trying to relax, and noticed some figures trying to sneak up on him. He looked up and saw his cousins Jana and Jessica! They were on their way to see Jacob at Camp Wilds. Josh agreed to take a day off and spent an enjoyable day with them at the camp.
Moving through the mountains he stopped at one church and met a guy named Danny, who bought him dinner and a motel room. He was also provided breakfast and lunch the next day. While passing through McCaysville he stopped at a restaurant called The Copper Grill. The awesome owners let him eat for free!
While there he met a father named Joseph there with his daughter. They talked about what Josh was doing and agreed that Josh could stay at their house that night. Josh continued his walk down the road until eventually reaching their place and met his wife Dawn. They served him dinner (great hot dogs and sausages) and talked about everything (including some of his favorite topics anime and video games). Joseph's and Dawn's girls were anime lovers. The next morning Josh was able to talk to Dawn for a while about the bible. She even sent him on with some zucchini bread!
The next couple of days he walked along a white water rafting river. At night he simply pitched a tent along the river (pictures will follow soon). He said it was an awesome spot. He pushed himself the next day (receiving a much appreciated free Gatorade).
Continue to wish him luck and donate to the fight against slavery!
